The Eiffel scholarship program of excellence was launched in January 1999 by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Its objective is to support the international recruitment action of French higher education institutions in a backdrop of harder competition between developed countries to attract the elite of international students in trainings at Masters', Engineering or PhD level.
