Pakistani applicants with outstanding academic records have a number of funding options for their studies in France: 134 scholarship programs offered by the French government, universities or companies are listed on the Campus Bourses scholarship search engine on the Campus France Pakistan website.
In addition, the French Embassy in Pakistan awards scholarships to meritorious young Pakistani students who wish to pursue their higher education in France at the Master Level. This year, the call for proposal for the full scholarships targets the best programs that can enhance the knowledge and skills of talented students to help Pakistan adapt to the Climate Change.
IMPORTANT:
- deadline to apply is December 31, 2024. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be eligible
- students must apply through Etudes en France for all programs. In addition, for IMT Atlantique, INP Pagora and ESTP, it is compulsory to apply also on their admission platform to be eligible
Master Degree Programs for France Excellence Pakistan-Climate Change
1. MSc Process and Bioprocess Engineering / track Project Management for Environmental and Energy Engineering (Master 1 + Master 2)

The objective of the Master of Science is to form project leaders or supervisors capable of managing complex engineering projects in the domain of the environment and energy conversion systems within an international context. PBPE/PM3E offers a balanced program of management skills and engineering techniques for environmental and energy projects. The technical part of the course concentrates on technology and process engineering as well as process modelling, simulation and control. A significant part of the program is also devoted to social sciences for project managers.

2. Materials Science and Engineering Masters - Biorefinery and Biomaterials program (Master 2)

The aim of the 1-year Master's program in Biorefinery and Biomaterials (Master 2) is to train professionals specializing in the problems of biomass valorization, in particular through the development and improvement of processes allowing its transformation into biomaterials, chemical products or energy sources.

The research-oriented International Master’s program in Agricultural Sciences (IMAS) is covering the fundamental aspects of plant and environmental sciences, food chemistry, food processing, microbiology, human nutrition & consumer science. The IMAS program aims to train (i) future researchers to promote the sustainable production, transformation and consumption of safe high-quality plant food; (ii) future managers in innovation for the agro-food industry with an experience of research.

5. One-Health Emerge Master's Degree (Master 2)

A cross-disciplinary and international MSc programme for veterinarian, food engineers, medical doctors, pharmacists and scientists.
This program aims to train scientific managers to meet the complex challenges posed by infectious diseases and major and/or emerging chemical and biological risks, within a “One Health” approach.
The increasing complexity of public health challenges due to global changes in industrialized societies requires a “one health approach,” recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. This approach demands a unified baseline knowledge to enhance understanding and communication among health stakeholders, thereby building capacity to prevent and manage future health crises. Professionals such as veterinarians, food engineers, medical doctors, pharmacists, scientists, economists, and ecologists must acquire advanced public health skills and develop the ability to work across disciplines and cultures.

6. GLOW (Master 2)

The international Master programme Globalization and the World Economy - GLOWE – (2nd year of program) provides a thorough understanding of the key issues of the globalization process, and its main economic and social challenges for both emerging and advanced economies. It aims at training high-level international experts in the analysis of the globalization process.
The Master's degree Globalization and the World Economy provides a solid grounding in international economics, development economics and the economics of globalization, as well as a sound knowledge of the European and international economic environment.
Important: only students with a solid academic background at Bachelor's level in economics (microeconomics, macroeconomics) and statics (econometrics) as well as mathematics.
ERASMUS mobility is compulsory in the second semester.

ELIGIBILITY & RULES
The applicant must:
- Apply before December 31, 2024. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be eligible
- Apply through Etudes en France for all programs. In addition, for IMT Atlantique, INP Pagora and ESTP, it is compulsory to apply also on their admission platform to be eligible.
- Be a Pakistani national
- Be 28 years old maximum at the time of application
- The applicant should hold a 4 years bachelor degree (or be currently enrolled in the 4th year) with a CGPA of 3.0 out of 4 minimum from any Pakistani university recognized by Higher Education Commission, Pakistan
- There should not be more than a period of 2 years after the completion of the undergraduate degree
- Knowledge of French is an asset but not mandatory to apply for the scholarship; for ESTP, it is mandatory to have at least A2 level in French.
- Will to engage with Campus France Pakistan by proposing communication content while studying in France
Please note that: - if you apply for a 2 years Master's Program the renewal of the scholarship at the M2 level will ONLY be possible if you succeed to pass in all your first-year exams (no retake possible); in case of retake, your scholarship will be terminated.
The courses (and internship in M2) must take place in France. The scholarship cannot be provided for an international period of mobility.
The recipient of the scholarship is compelled to join the university and program he/she has been selected for. In case of a 2 years degree, the recipient cannot change its programme between M1 and M2. Otherwise, the scholarship will not be delivered.
ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Students must apply directly to the French university, through the Etudes en France platform; please note that for IMT Atlantique and INP Pagora, you must also apply on their own application system (detailed information on the Master Program website).
Deadline for application is December 31st 2024 (closing date of the EeF platform).
Please note that on Etudes en France platform you can apply to up to 7 French universities program in 1 single application, but only the 4 degrees listed are eligible for the “France Excellence Pakistan - Climate Change” scholarship awarded by the French embassy in Pakistan.
Fees apply for the Etudes en France platform (30 000 PKR); it can be reimbursed upon request to Campus France Pakistan only if you are awarded with the “France Excellence for Climate Change” scholarship.

Your application will be selected on the basis of your academic excellence, as well as the consistency and quality of your statement of purpose. The level of English will also be taken into account. Knowledge of French will be an asset but is not mandatory, except for ESTP. A tie-up between your current Pakistani institution and your future French institution will also be an asset.
The Embassy of France in Pakistan will pay special attention on gender equality and representation of all provinces. Females are highly encouraged to apply.
